Some stuff about fallout 4 (no spoilers)

So yesterday I opened up fallout 4 (currently level 47 and not entirely finished with the story) and decided to try to get all my settlements to a point where they are able to sustain more people because I can't afford to send any more people out of sanctuary on trade routes. I have decided to have 4-8 people on every farm depending on the size, and I am going for max population in sanctuary and starlight drive-in because there is a shitload of room to have large generators and shops and good housing and stuff.  I might convert the red rocket gas station into some sort of housing for my companions but for now they all are in sanctuary. Eventually, I want to be able to call down mortar strikes from almost anywhere on the map, but that's some endgame settlement stuff.
Anyways, I checked the list of settlements and saw the usual list of little warning triangles on the farms that I don't have trading routes to.
But then I noticed that one of the farms that I did have trading routes to (and had like 5 heavy machine gun turrets on it) had a population of one and a food value of zero, which concerned me because I always have at least 2 people at each farm. so I fast traveled there and counted the settlers. I had two, and according to the workshop the food value was at like 4 or 5.
I was about to chalk this down as being a glitch when the farm was suddenly attacked by two deathclaws, one of them being legendary. Luckily I carry enough chems to boost my damage resistance to almost godlike proportions because I never really clear them out. I also carry a maxed out railway rifle because it shreds power armor and vertibirds like none other. Anyway, around 60 doses of med-x and psycho jet later, the deathclaws finally died, but they took a farmer with them, so i guess my game had already scripted the fight and just wanted me to be there to witness the absurdity of deathclaws attacking a well-defended settlement really far away from where they are usually found.
Speaking of deathclaws being idiotic jerks, a lone deathclaw decided to attack starlight drive-in while I was there. Keep in mind that I am in the process of making this area into a stronghold, so I have a laser Gatling gun, minigun, super sledge, huge napalmer, big boy, and a suit of (at least) mk. III X-01 power armor with a jetpack, tesla bracers, targeting system, and explosive vents there. there are also lots of defenses. I think at last count I had 8 heavy machine gun turrets, 4 laser turrets, and a nest containing two spotlights and three rocket turrets. so there is no way in hell that anything is attacking this place without being blown into bits and then having those bits atomized.
So I'm in the workshop looking for the new settlers so I can send them out on trade routes when i turn around and see the deathclaw. I didn't really have time  to react though, because all three of the rocket turrets and at least 3 of the other turrets fired at the same time, then my game crashed immediately afterwards.  So, I'm thinking of replacing 2 of the rocket turrets with some laser turrets or something.

Also, I have an idea for anyone that has the ghoulish perk: if you want to make some sort of settlement with yourself and no settlers, put the rad generators everywhere, and have them always on, so you get health constantly and your non-resistant enemies get hurt constantly. also useful if you're low on stimpacks and don't want to pay the doctors.
